INFORMATION GUIDES

All applicants must read the Client Handbook and Guidelines before submitting an application. These resources will provide information on the requirements of hosting an event at Yonge-Dundas Square.

In 2017, we introduced new digital signage capabilities that are a great benefit to the downtown community, visitors to the Square, and event attendees. For more information on how screen usage can benefit your event, please contact info@ydsquare.ca.

FEES AND CHARGES

Please note: the fees & charges document is subject to change at any time.

Aside from Permit Fees, the costs associated with using Yonge-Dundas Square are entirely dependent on the event-specific requirements and schedules. The fees as well as the client handbook can be used as a guide to an initial costing for a project, as YDS does not provide event estimates over the phone.

Registered charities, non-profits and community groups may be eligible to have their permit fees waived for one day in a calendar year, with a letter of support from their City Councilor (staffing and support/equipment fees still apply).

There are minimum staffing requirements for all events including Onsite Coordination, Security and Operations.
