The Tour Paramedic Ride will be kicking off its 5th Year from Yonge Dundas Square on Friday, Sept. 15th at 9:30 am. Over one hundred and forty (140) Paramedic cyclists & friends will be "in the saddle" travelling from Toronto to Ottawa over four days. The Ride serves to remember the sacrifice of fallen Paramedics across the country while fostering a stronger community within the Paramedic profession. During this 525 kilometre journey, Ontario's Paramedics will be raising funds & awareness for a national Paramedic memorial monument to be erected in Ottawa. This remarkable opening ceremony draws Paramedic Services from all across Ontario and is a hallmark example of the unity and professionalism that the Paramedics represent Canada wide.
The Paramedic Ride has expanded across the nation again this year with rides taking place in a tri-province East Coast Ride, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario. The Ontario ride will be stopping overnight in Port Hope, Kingston, Brockville and finishing in Ottawa where the Ontario & Quebec rides will be hosting a joint closing ceremony on Monday, September 18th, 2017 at Parliament Hill.
