Born to swing, scat, croon and entertain, Ori Dagan is a dynamic jazz musician, singer and songwriter. Israeli-born and Toronto-raised, he remains inspired by ground-breaking innovators such as Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O'Day. Initially trained as a classical pianist, Dagan earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University with a focus on jazz and classical vocal studies. He went on to study performance, song-writing, and improvisation at Humber College. After years of steady work in Toronto clubs, awards included a Bronze Medal for the 2016 Global Music Award for "Best Male Vocalist"; "Best Jazz Vocals" at the 2015 Toronto Independent Music Awards, and "Best Male Vocalist" in the 2013 NOW Magazine Readers Poll in the honourable company of the Weeknd, Bahamas, Peter Katz, Ronnie Hawkins, and Rufus Wainwright.
